Temple of Poseidon - Sounio

A return drive to the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio, on a Sunday (coz' entrance is FREE)! And we can have a close-up view of the Temple and its grand pillars!

Sometimes do wonder how they preserve all these structures, especially like this one, whereby it is situated near the sea.

Nice view of the sea...

The road behind which we drove past to come up Cape Sounio. :)

The Southern tip of the peninsular...

On the edge of the world...

Skies were not as clear on this day... compared to the pics below before that...

A final pose before we go down Cape Sounio...

Sunset view as we drove back home...

The sky was so lovely on this occasion below instead, isn't it? Though it was the same place, but the feel was just different with the nice blue sky, embracing fluffy white clouds... :)

The very first time, we drove out of Athens, since our arrival in this new city. Generally, Athens city itself is boring for us... hahahaha.. I mean, it is just another city, cosmopolitan... Of course, it is amazing that the Greeks could preserve the Acropolis, which is right in the middle of Athens town centre, until today. But like every city, it is just normal shopping, cafes, restaurants, etc. And given our nature, we of course found everything so expensive when we first got here. Come on, we came from Shanghai where everything was like half the price of Singapore, even in high-class restaurants... and then suddenly, we got to be using a currency that is double the value of our Sing dollar.. Gosh... Won't forget the first meal we had - Mcdonald... All men's best friend... heehee... and even a Mcdonald meal costs us 4.90 Euros... which is S$10... Well, slowly getting used to the standard here, so just don't convert and it will be fine..

On the way, as we drove... the scenery was absolutely beautiful... Blue skies, against the clear blue sea... Gosh... It was then we start to realise, "So, this is why everyone says Greece is beautiful..." Indeed it is...

The weather was good that day too, and it was really peaceful and scenic along the coastal roads...

The company's rented vehicle for Kevin - Nissan Primera... The car looks big, but it is runned by a 1.6 engine... so super no power! We were climbing a slope uphill one day, and the tires gave off a little burnt smell... hahahhaha.. friction...

Stopping by on our way... Captivated by the scenery... And just look at the hair, and you know how strong the wind was that day... Silly Kevin made me do this pose again... Classic act of a good friend we know??? hee...

Fatty Kevin and Chubby Shan... Since when did I join Kevin's club man?!!! Urrgghhh... Two of us seriously need to do something about our weight... hahhahah... since we met and got married, we both put on 10kg... The Power of Love... Or rather... the WEIGHT of Love... The more weight you put on, the happier you are... ahahhahaha.. We are real-life evidence!
