Maldives... Honeymoon in Paradise... The most romantic getaway...

Our honeymoon to Maldives.. took a long time to put this up only now... hehehe... but the memories are still clear in our minds and hearts... It was really so beautiful, it would be the best for a couple to just relax and lay down all day..

Arriving at Male International Airport... The airport was so interesting. It is an island of its own and surrounded by the sea... and there was only one runway... It is known as the Hulhule Airport Island...

Collecting our luggage... The airport was very simple and basic... a bit like those Batam or Bintan ferry terminal... hehehe...

Kevin... on the ferry... that night, we stayed in Male, so that the next day we could walk around Male town before going to our resort... we stayed in a Mookai hotel near to the port and it costs us 124USD per night lor! and the conditions were like our 1 star hotel... hahahha... Terrible...

The resorts on the other Maldivian islands will depend on all these boats to ferry food and essentials over... So you can imagine, that's why things are not cheap on the resorts...

The speedboat transfering us to our resort, Coco Palm Boduhithi, on North Male Atoll. The transfer each way, costs USD$75 per person.

Wah lau, with such an expensive ride, must take some pictures to make the ride worthwhile... hahaha...

Quite amazing to see it for the first time... It is not taxis which are queuing outside the airport... but ferry and speedboats...
