Santorini... The beautiful Greek island of the Cyclades...

I went to Santorini twice so far, staying only 1 night on both occasions. First visit was with Kevin's parents, and second visit was with my parents and brother! hehehe... Wish we could stay for a longer period of time... It was very scenic and pretty romantic... Because of the blue skies, white-washed buildings... Hmmm... will return to the island again... just Kevin and me... to make babies... hee...

The first time, we stayed at Villa Elkaza... a family-run accomodation. It is clean and very brightly done-up.

They even have a kitchenette corner... hehe...

Hahaha, i had to take this, coz' the toilet is really not so pleasing... but can make do with it...

The balcony outside our room.

Into town... Nice Greek churches... How could anyone resist falling in love with the sight of the white-washed building against the blue sky...

On top of the caldera, overlooking volcanoes on the opposite of the island...

A glance of the entire Fira town of Santorini... Look at the cliff with all the natural formation of the rocks...

Kevin: "Welcome to Santorini!"

Enjoyed walking down the little lanes of Santorini...

Stinky donkeys of Santorini... As the town is on top of the cliff, to travel up or down, you can take donkey as a form of transport, otherwise, you need to walk for at least 30minutes...

Entrance of a 5-star hotel... Different from our usual 5-star accomodation... But it is one of the expensive accomodation in Santorini... It is known as Cosmopolitan Suites (under Luxury hotel chain of the world), and it costs about 400 Euros per night for the cheapest room.

Town church...

Hehehe... check out the vehicle... I like!

White church with blue cap!!! And a little fat Shanshan...

On top of a hill overlooking the island and the Aegean Sea..

Our rented car... Yellow Peugeot 107.

An old part of the island... with some tavernas along the sea...

Kevin stretching... OOOooohhh...

Entering Oia... another nice town in Santorini, where many people come here to watch the sunset...

Nice windmills in the background... And there are accomodation inside the windmill building...

I like the shot... very blue... hehehe...

Walking up Oia... See the door under the windmill? It is a room you can stay in... part of a hotel which the windmills are made up of various rooms beneath...

Let's take a pic with the windmill!

Walking along the streets of Oia...

Check out the dome church...

Against the sun... Typical structure of Cyclades island...

We absolutely fell in love with the picturesque...

The sun falling into the horizon...

Half gone...

When the sun was all gone... hahaha... look at the people who gathered at the hill to watch the sunset... and they were all dispersed! heheheh...

Hug hug tight tight... If only we were in our wedding gowns... hehehe...

Our room at night... Kevin lazing on the side bed...

Sun rise at 6am which we could see from our room balcony...

The signage of our Villa Elkaza... with the rising sun in the background...

Wine Museum...

Entering the wine cellar, which was turned into a museum...

Kevin's parents... posing with the statues which depict stories of how wine was made...

The container looks like insectiscide spray yah?? hahaha...

Traditional cave-looking wine cellar...

Kevin climbing up the wine barrel!!! hahahah...

A shot together (without Tequila)!

The vineyard and grapes outside...

The bar counter... Wine Tasting... hahhaha... i got dizzy after 3 sips...

My brother, mum and dad... hahaha.. with an ancient Greek church behind...

Looks like it is melted yah??!! hahaha... but very interesting to look at as we drove pass...

Peek-a-boo... shopping along the street...

Family shot... taken by a Chinese from Denmark... His great-great-grandparents migrated there from China and stayed in Denmark... And now, this Chinese man is so well-to-do.. he has restaurants in Denmark.. and factories in China, which help to make clothes for H&M...

One more time!!! Thanks man!

I was trying to get an artistic shot.. forced my brother to be my model... heheh...

I'm Loving It!

The car we rented.. Citroen C4...

Brightly coloured street walls and cobbled pathways...

I was constpated... hahahah... but check out the nice view in the background.. Aegean sea..

The traditional boat... which ferry us to the volcano island opposite Santorini...

On the ferry boat... on Aegean sea...

Nearing the volcanoe island.. check out those volcanic rocks!

Wah... climbing uphill on the volcano... The weather was super hot!

My brother and my mum... climbing up...

Rest for awhile to strike a pose! hehehe...

Check our the volcano view...

The crater... (It reminded me of Jouney to the West... when Tripikata and his 3 disciples passed by 火焰山 (huo yan shan), which was so hot and heated...)

View of crater from top...

On top... finally...

Close up with the volcanic rocks...

Family pose!!! hahahah... see how the men and women differ in the family... heehee...

I look more like my dad... and my brother looks like my mum more... hee...

Taking a shot against thsi pillar, which marks that you are on highest point of the volcano island...

Crater...

Hot spring... The boat will stop you in the middle and you have to jump down into the waters and swim towards the white church, which is where the warm spring is at... It is brown volcanic soil below the water...

See the brown section... hehehe... swim towards there for thermal effect! hahahah...

Stopping by the traditional village Thirasia, for lunch...

The Aegean Sea... And the volcanic island of Santorini...

Yippee... Farewell to Santorini... We'll be back! :)
